Rare Maling ware hand painted pomegranate tripod footed vase with rich cobalt blue and purple mottled background. The pomegranate design is on the front and back of the vase and the top rim is decorated with a trellis leaf pattern. The inside of the vase has a blue sponged finish. The Maling ware castle Newcastle on Tyne Made in England backstamp is on the base. Pattern number 5365

The vase is in excellent condition for its age with no chips cracks or repairs.
