Sadler ovoid shaped lidded biscuit barrel, swing metal handle and featuring a historic English village and coaching scene on both sides with heavy gilded decoration.

The barrel is in good condition for its age, minimal crazing. The gilding is in great condition showing no wear. There is a small chip on the lid edge as shown in the photos. When viewed under a magnifying glass it appears that the chip was in manufacture and the gold border has covered it from day one.
