Unusual camphor wood chest which could double as a coffee table as it’s not heavily carved and has a flat top surface. The chest sits on stepped Art Deco style legs and the timber has a bleached limed decorative finish with geometric circular carved Asian designs featured in the panels of the chest.
The strong camphor smell when opened will provide a natural repellent to insect attack for stored items.
The chest has its decorative brass hardware is in good original condition, Approximately 50 years old
