Nautical anchor and knotted rope designed Davenport ironstone flow  blue and white Marine pattern platter made in England with impressed date stamp 4.64 April 1864

Davenport made nautical tableware for shipping companies in generic patterns and specific patterns for individual companies.

The platter is in excellent condition for its 150+ years of age with no chips cracks or repairs

This same Marine pattern anchor is also used on some Mintons plates who continued using Davenport copper transfer plates after the companies closure in 1887
