Norville cup and saucer made in England depicting the coronation of Edward V111 on the 12th March 1937. This coronation didn’t take place as Edward abdicated to allow him to marry the divorced Wallis Simpson.
The commemorative wares were already produced and distributed to Australia and other Commonwealth countries and were supposed to be destroyed but limited items survived.
The cup and saucer are in good condition with no chips cracks or repairs minimal crazing is apparent commensurate with age.
