Back in the day of home delivery this was the cashless purchase when you would purchase your tokens from the shop and then leave your half loaf or loaf bread token in your bread tin outside and the Baker pulled up at your home in the horse drawn cart checked your tin and left the required delivery.
This is a one loaf aluminium token from the Co-op Store Newcastle.
