Washstands were originally used for holding a wash basin and water jug in a bedroom or bathroom before plumbing was readily available in homes and buildings.
Made in Australia from Queensland maple timber,cupboard below with two doors and a single shelf for storage. Rouge (red) marble slab to the top with an attached splash back which is inserted with original blue rectangular shaped glazed pottery tiles.Four steel castor wheels to the base.
Nice original condition for its age.
