As early as 1792, the Ridgway brothers produced quality earthenwares in Shelton, Staffordshire, England.

The Royal Vistas Ware series was created on a gold to brown pottery with brown transfers. It was made from the 1890’s to the 1910’s The series features street scenes prominent buildings and landscapes and sold as souvenir ware.

This plate depicts the New bathhouse opened in the central New Zealand city of Rotorua in 1908 which is famous for its thermal activity and healing mineral pools.

Condition is good with the plate showing light crazing and some wear to the gold border which is commensurate with age.
