19th century burr walnut Victorian davenport writing desk. The writing slope has a tooled leather top and when raised reveals a large green baize lined storage compartment and three smaller storage compartment and 2 drawers. A brass gallery sits to the rear of the writing slope.

The right hand side of the desk has four drawers, each with two turned knobs and cock beading to the edges. The left side has four dummy drawer fronts, each matching the right side.

The desk is supported at the front with tow turned and reeded walnut columns, four bun feet to the base.

English origin manufactured around the 1890’s. Nice original condition.
